Bangladesh cricket team have reached Dhaka on Saturday morning showing their calibre in ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
A flight carrying the Tigers landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 9:40am.
After the arriving in Dhaka in the morning, Tigers skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza told media: “We have to be more confident and mentally strong. As well as we need to improve ourselves for the big matches.”
Mentioning the team played well in the tournament, he also hoped to exhibit better performance in next cricket World Cup.
Bangladesh suffered a nine-wicket defeat against India in the semi-final of the tournament. The Tigers scored 264 runs losing seven wickets when Indian skipper Virat Kohli won and toss and decided to bowl first on June 15. India confirmed title clash with Pakistan beating the Tigers by nine wickets as they scored 265 for one in 40.1 overs. It was first time Bangladesh played any semi-final of ICC event.
England beat Bangladesh in the first match of the tournament on June 1. Bangladesh got one point as their match with Australia was washed away by rain. And the Tigers reached the semi-final of the tournament beating New Zealand.
