Bowlers rule day 1 in Dhaka Test

The first day of the series-deciding second test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has ended with the mass wicket fall at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium today. A total of 14 wickets fall on the first day.

After winning the toss Sri Lankan Captain Dinesh Chandimal decided to bat first against the host Bangladesh. 

Playing his first test in four years, it was Abdur Razzak who was most effective for Bangladesh, taking 4 for 63, while Taijul Islam took 4 and cutter master Mustafizur Rahman picked 2 wickets at the other end led Bangladesh to wrap up Sri Lanka for 222. 

Sri Lankan Batsmen sustained only 65.3 overs before Bangladeshi Bowlers.

Bangladesh also suffered much while they came to bat. Sri Lanka picked early 4 wickets at the end of the first day. 

Opener Tamim Iqbal goes only for 4 runs while Bangladeshi little master Mominul Haque, a bit unlucky to become run out for a duck. 

Dependable Mushfiqur Rahim also couldn’t make his batting longer as he scored only 1 run off 22 balls. 

Imrul Kayes was returned back to the pavilion scoring 19 runs. 

Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz will open the day two for the host as they scored 24 and 5 runs respectively.
