Leaders of the Comilla University teachers’ association on Sunday came up with a 14-point demand, including resignation of the proctor and a halt to illegal appointment of the university teachers.
The association leaders submitted their demands to the university registrar M Mujibur Rahman Majumdar following a meeting.
The association leaders also said the vice chancellor M Ali Ashraf of the university will be barred from entering to his office if the demands are not met by Monday afternoon.
The 14 demands of the teachers’ association also included return of the additional allowances paid to the VC back to to the treasury, resignation of the proctor, returning the evening MBA fee, investigation into irregularities and corruption during the construction of Bangabandhu’s mural in the university, withdrawal of show cause notice to seven teachers of the university, and more.
Speaking about the allegations, VC Ali Ashraf said, “I am out of Comilla on some personal work. I completed the recruitment process in keeping with the rules and regulations.”
