A Dhaka court on Tuesday convicted nine people and sentenced six of them to death for murders and committing robbery at a private bank in Dhaka’s Ashulia.
District and Sessions Judge SM Kuddus Zaman gave the verdict on Tuesday morning.
On 6 December last year, Dipak Kumar, investigation officer of the case and officer-in-charge of Ashulia police station, submitted a charge sheet against 11 accused in the case.
The court, however, acquitted two others as their guilt are not proved.
