Rajshahi Kings thrash Nasir’s Sixers

Rajshahi Kings have thrashed Sylhet Sixers by seven wickets with 15 balls remaining in the 17th match of BPL 2017 at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Chasing the total 146 runs, Kings reached the target in 17.3 overs losing only three wickets as they challenged Sabbir Rahman’s late flourishing sixes.

Thanks to Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque’s flourish, Rajshahi Kings scored 150 runs in 17.3 overs.

Zakir Hasan scored 51 off 26 balls smashing three sixes and four boundaries when Mominul Haque hit five fours and one six scoring 42 off 36 balls for Kings.

For Sixers, Danushka Gunathilaka scored 40 runs off 37 balls hitting four fours with two sixes while Sabbir smashed four late sixes and scored 41 runs off 26.

Sylhet Sixers scored 146 runs losing six wickets in all 20 overs when they were sent into bat first against Rajshahi Kings.

Rajshahi Kings have won the toss and opted to field first against Sylhet Sixers in Mirpur.

In today’s play, Zakir, Sammy and Samit Patel replaced Lendl Simmons, Malcolm Waller and Nihaduzzaman from Rajshahi's previous game.

Ross Whiteley, Wanindu Hasaranga and Mohammad Sharif were left out while Nabil Samad, Andre Fletcher and Liam Plunkett were picked for Sylhet Sixers.
