National Desk: Bangladesh reported 4,019 more coronavirus positive cases in last 24 hours till Thursday afternoon which pushed the total number to 1,53,277. Meanwhile, the death tally climbed to 1,926 with 38 more fatalities. Of the dead, 32 were male and six were female, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana said at the daily bulletin this afternoon.
Total 802,697 tests carried out in the country till today. A total of 18,362 samples were tested in 70 labs in the last 24 hours, Dr Nasima said.
The death rate at 1.26 per cent while the current infection rate is 21.89 per cent. The DGHS asked COVID-19 infected people to keep themselves under more 14-day quarantine after recovery. Then he or she can join their works. Some 4,332 more COVID-19 patients recovered from the deadly virus infected in the past 24 hours. With this, the total recovery number reached 66,440.
