Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, drive will be started soon to recover illegal firearms across the country. The drive will be conducted for the sake of fair election.
The minister came up with the assertion while addressing a programme at Sheikh Rasel Govt. School in the capital on Thursday.
He said, “Our regular drive is going on to recover illegal fire arms. However, law enforcers start drives against arms ahead of any kinds of elections. So, similar drive will be conducted centering city corporations elections. That’s why detectives have started their activities.”
In reply to another query, he said, ongoing drive against corruption will go on. Everything will be done to make the country corruption, drugs and militants free.
