The government has extended the ongoing general holiday for another eleven days, until April 25, aiming to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Friday.
According to the notification, “The government extended the holidays from April 15 to April 23, while April 24 and 25 are the weekend.”
But kitchen markets, food shops, pharmacies, hospitals, agriculture products transportation and all emergency services will remain out of the purview of the general holidays, it said.
Earlier, the government announced closure of all public and private offices from March 26 to April 4 which was extended till April 11 afterwards, and again extended till April 14.
