At the current situation amid the growing coronavirus pandemic, the decision is yours whether you will stay at home or in grave, said newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed.
The outgoing Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) said this for people who are not attentive with the social distance.
He on Monday was exchanging views with journalists on video conference on the eve of his departure from RAB.
Benazir Ahmed said it is the civic responsibility to maintain physical and social distance. For the sake of protecting yourself, family and the country, it’s more important to ensure physical distance than applying force by law enforcement agencies. All people will have to stay at home. Nobody will be allowed to roam outside. Everybody must abstain from going out for least requirement, chatting and roaming here and there.
He also thanked media men for helping him during his period in Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
