Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will sell per kg onion at Tk 25 through its truck sales and dealers from Saturday.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said this at a press conference held at the ministry's conference room on Thursday. The commerce secretary, TCB chairman and other senior officials were present at the press conference.
There will be no shortage of daily essentials in next four months as the country has enough stock, said the commerce minister.
Letters will be sent to embassies around the world so that they do not cancel ready-made garment orders, he said.
Besides, steps have also been taken to open four more train routes for import and export of goods with India, he added.
