HANOI:President Abdul Hamid today paid homage to the legendary revolutionary leader of Vietnam Ho Chi Minh here.The President placed wreaths at the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh at 4.50 pm (local time). After placing the wreaths, the President stood in solemn silence in reverence to Ho Chi Minh.
He also visited the museum inside the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and went round different parts of it. Later, the President signed the visitor's book.
Paying respect to the great leader, the President wrote, "It had been a great honor for me to visit the mausoleum of the legendary revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh. The gallant history of Vietnam to fight for freedom is deeply coated by his bold leadership and vision."
"I wish Vietnam a great future and prosperity that was at the core of his dreams," he added.
A smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces welcomed the President with playing patriotic song on the arrival of the President at the venue.
