Arafat Islam, Mirzapur Correspondent: A 30 km long gridlock was created on the Dhaka-Tangail highway from Kaliakoir upazila on Sunday as Eid-holidaymakers started leaving the capital Dhaka.
Witnesses said hundreds of home-goers remained stranded on the 30 kilometre highway from Chandra intersection in Gazipur.
Vehicles were seen moving bumper-to-bumper on the highway.
A sub-inspector of Gorai Highway police station at Mirzapur, Mozammel Hossain said The law enforcers are trying to control the situation.
