'UGC to be transformed into Higher Education Commission'

Dhaka: To enhance quality of higher education and monitoring the activities of the universities the government has taken steps to transform the University Grant Commission (UGC) into Higher Education Commission (HEC).


Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said this while distributing the Prime Minister Gold Medal- 2011 and 2012 among public university students at her office here today.
